T-ball is the children’s version of baseball in which the ball is not thrown by a pitcher but placed on a tee. This can make the sport easier for children and improve hand-eye coordination and ball skills. It is also less dangerous than baseball since a pitcher does not throw the ball. This means that children do not get hurt playing the sport as they could get in baseball. It is less challenging than baseball and can enable a child to learn catching, throwing, fielding, and batting techniques.

The skills taught and learned at t-ball can be used later on when children start to play baseball. T-ball can also put children in a team's game spirit and teach them teamwork and collaboration, which are needed to win in team games.
